Trauma Microsurgery Department V
The Department of Trauma and Microsurgery V (Peripheral Vascular Disease Specialty) was established on May 10, 2021. The department has a total of 21 medical staff, including 10 physicians and 9 nurses. It currently has 41 authorized beds, with an intensive care unit, trauma and microsurgery ward, and foot and ankle surgery ward. In its first year of operation, the department admitted nearly 600 inpatients and performed over 700 surgeries. The department offers a comfortable environment, complete equipment, and strong technical capabilities, and is one of the hospital's key development departments.
Under the technical guidance of Professor Yin Lie, President Huang Dong, and others, the young medical and nursing team led by Director Yu Tian has continuously carried out various major and complex hand surgeries, achieving advanced levels both domestically and internationally in limb replantation, limb salvage for severe limb trauma, free flap repair of large wounds in the limbs, and microsurgical repair and reconstruction of bone infection and bone defects.
In recent years, the department has actively developed new technologies such as ankle arthroscopy, the Ilizarov technique, and minimally invasive osteotomy for the treatment of ankle sports injuries, ankle instability, congenital and acquired deformities of the foot and ankle, flatfoot, high-arched foot, and hallux valgus. It has also utilized Lymphaticovenous Anastomosis (LVA) and Vascularized Lymph Node Transfer (VLNT) from cross-body regions for the treatment of primary and secondary lymphedema, with technical standards steadily improving and achieving commendable results.
