The Inpatient Department of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center includes rehabilitation wards, internal medicine wards, and intensive care units, with approximately 143 beds. It primarily admits patients with cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, sequelae of traumatic brain injury, pneumonia, pulmonary infection, COPD, long-term bedridden conditions, pressure ulcers, multiple organ failure, degenerative joint disease in the elderly, and post-orthopedic surgery patients. The medical team is proficient in various intensive care techniques such as endotracheal intubation, fiberoptic bronchoscopy, and mechanical ventilation. They are progressively implementing multiple intensive rehabilitation programs, including bedside muscle and joint function promotion for patients on cardiac monitoring, lung recruitment techniques and pulmonary rehabilitation for monitored patients, decannulation/extubation for tracheostomy patients, difficult weaning, airway management/sputum drainage, endoscopic airway lavage, swallowing promotion and nutritional support, and thrombosis prevention and intervention.
The Therapy Department of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center includes rehabilitation assessment rooms, physical therapy rooms (PT), occupational therapy rooms (OT), speech and swallowing therapy rooms (ST), cognitive therapy rooms, physical factor therapy rooms, and traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation rooms. It currently offers early bedside rehabilitation for orthopedic and hand surgery trauma, stroke and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, respiratory and intensive care rehabilitation, spinal cord injury and peripheral nerve injury rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, and pain rehabilitation for neck, shoulder, lower back, and leg pain. Through services such as exercise training, respiratory training, sensory training, ADL training, social adaptation training, and orthotic device fitting, the department achieves comprehensive rehabilitation coverage, helping patients restore function, reintegrate into society, and return to work.
The Sports Injury Specialty focuses on conservative treatment and post-operative rehabilitation of knee/ankle/rotator cuff injuries, correction of adolescent scoliosis, and rehabilitation of spinal-related disorders. It is dedicated to close collaboration with orthopedics and sports medicine to provide more scientific and effective personalized rehabilitation services for patients.
The TCM Rehabilitation Specialty addresses pain conditions (neck pain, frozen shoulder, lower back and leg pain, gout, dysmenorrhea, etc.), gynecological disorders (irregular menstruation, premature ovarian failure, postpartum conditions, menopausal syndrome, etc.), insomnia, mood disorders (depression, anxiety, OCD), and constitutional wellness. It employs integrated acupuncture therapy combined with fascial release techniques, treating both body and mind together, harmonizing internal and external aspects, establishing a five-in-one model of prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, wellness, and disease prevention.
